Look Who's Talking - in baby language

Wayne has his own language now and it is so cute to listen to the sounds he makes! In the mornings we wake up at 7am and after his breakfast I have mine with some coffee and we have our own "coffee talk". This is the one we had yesterday - he's so cute it makes me laugh and cry!

Winter Wonderland

Ok, so I know I have become the WORST blogger ever in keeping this updated. I am sure all the new moms in the world understand though (right Michelle???) So, here goes a new start to trying to keep this going. I promise to backdate with blogs and pictures too, but for now, it's going from now forward.

Wayne has experienced his first snow. I have to say, it is strange that we are getting this much snow given that last year we didn't see any until Easter. But, it's been fun looking at this area covered in snow. Here are some pictures of our midnight outing in the first snowfall.

A bit surprised:

Yes - all 3 of us in one picture - and all eyes open!

Bionic Baby

We had to post this before the rest of the pictures...

Our baby is so strong and smart, he has already learned how to roll over on his own! Here is a video of his bionic strength:

Welcome Wayne David Katzenberger!

I can't write well enough to express what an amazing experience having this beautiful baby boy was for us. The surgery went very well and was amazing to have about 15 medical people all in one room just to work on me and the baby. Everyone was friendly and upbeat and seemed to be having a good time helping us bring Wayne into the world. Alex was there holding my hand and telling me stories from our years of dating - memories of trips and fun times we had - it all made the surgery more bearable. The moment when the held our new boy over the curtain was one I wish I could have had in my camera to show everyone, but it is in my memory so well I will never forget it. He was crying and covered in stuff, but he was so beautiful - if that's even a good enough word - that we just started crying. We had not chosen his name yet, we had our top 3 contenders, but when we saw him, we knew - it was Wayne, our Wayne. Our new baby boy that God gave us. He is beautiful, angelic and so peaceful that we fall in love with him more and more each moment. Here are some pictures from our first day.
