Bad Bevensen

I know I have been awful about keeping this updated… I am putting together all the stuff from the past two months so there will be plenty to read and pictures to see soon…

Alex had an internship earlier this year in Bad Bevensen (the word “Bad” is pronounced “Bat” in German). Any town in Germany with the word “Bad” in the city name is known as a health village. These are villages where the environment is strictly preserved and there are clinics established ranging from retirement communities to depression treatments to cancer facilities. Bad Bevensen is a retirement community. Alex took me here the other day so we could hike through the forest and then go through the town. Traditionally everything in Germany I closed on Sundays. However, in this town they keep everything opened for the retired citizens. Also, once a month they have a small food and craft fair with booths set up. It is really a beautiful town and we had such a good time. As you can see from our hike, we enjoy taking pictures of everything!

Peanut's next adventure!

I just thought these older women were so cute sitting together on this bench in the middle of the forrest!

All those stairs? Do you hear the Rocky theme??
Thank God for these random benches!

The town of Bad Bevensen...
We just had to look at the baby ducks!
I think Alex likes talking to ducks!
The food and craft fair....

This is a place that teaches you how to keep bees and make honey...
One look at all these bees and we decided this isn't something for us!

What a beautiful place! The little peanut will love to see those pics someday, I'm sure. You're looking great. Can't wait to see more pictures and hear more updates!
